The Why and How of Honeysuckle Removal Along Waterways

Description:
The introduction and establishment of invasive alien species including plants and animals is contributing to widespread disturbance upon our modern landscapes. Ecosystem resilience is dependent upon biological diversity. Invasive alien species are decreasing ecological resilience and ecosystem services by limiting establishment of native species. Management of invasive alien species is a complex process that can be accomplished utilizing an adaptive and integrated approach. In this presentation we will discuss common invasive plants invading our riparian areas and best practices toward mitigating their impact.
