Vernal Poolooza March 24-26, 2022

The Ohio Vernal Pool Network, a joint effort of Ohio Wetlands Association and Midwest Biodiversity Institute, is excited to invite you to this year's Vernal Poolooza wetland science multi-day conference! It will take place Thursday, March 24th through Saturday, the 26th at the Salt Fork State Park Lodge and Conference Center in Cambridge, Ohio. The formal portion of the conference on Thursday and Friday consists of two concurrent sessions and evening keynote speakers, including David FitzSimmons, an award-winning photographer and writer, well known for his Curious Critters series, and Thomas Biebighauser, author, restoration expert and owner of Wetland Restoration and Training, LLC, who has restored over 2,700 wetlands and written A Guide to Creating Vernal Ponds! Later in the evenings and on Saturday morning, there will be a variety of field and laboratory experiences to give our participants hands-on vernal pool experiences. Several nearby locations will provide excellent experiences and learning opportunities, including a vernal pool design and construction workshop led by Thomas Biebighauser.
