Do You Know the Green Belt? Sustainable Urban Agriculture in a Challenging World

Keynote Speaker: Meiny Prins, CEO, Priva Meiny Prins is CEO and co-owner of Priva. In this position she was proclaimed Business Woman of the Year 2009 and received the first CleanTech Star of WNF (World Wildlife Fund) for Priva.Year 2009 and received the first CleanTech Star of WNF (World Wildlife Fund) for Priva. Priva is a high-tech company that develops hardware, software and services in the field of climate control, energy saving and optimal reuse of water. Priva’s market covers the fields of horticulture, indoor and city farming, and utility buildings such as offices, retail, hotels and hospitals. With almost 500 colleagues, 16 local offices in 13 countries and over 450 international installation partners, Priva delivers sustainable solutions and services in more than 100 countries. The prediction that 85% of the world’s population will live in urban areas was one of Prins’s inspirations that led to the vision called ‘Sustainable Urban Deltas.’ Cases in the Sustainable Urban Delta initiative show there are already many integrated and sustainable solutions in the field of food, water, energy and mobility that contribute to solving the problems of the metropolises worldwide.
