Description:
Are you passionate about nature? Citizen science? Birds? Moths? Mushrooms? Plants? Insects? Something else?
Grange Insurance Audubon Center in downtown Columbus (located at the Scioto Audubon Metro Park) just celebrated 10 years of conservation by turning an urban dump into a nature park. In the spring, we are planning on doing a comprehensive ID of all that we can in our park. The successes and areas for growth of our conservation efforts are really important to us to be able to care for this urban habitat and Important Bird Area for years to come.
We want to probe for interest in willingness to come and work with us to do some ID in our park. If you or anyone in any particular field of casual or professional knowledge may be interested in this event with National Audubon and Metro Parks, we would be interested in getting in contact with you!
Feel free to share my information to any other potential interested students/classes/parties! Our tentative date for this Bioblitz is Friday May 29th, 2020 between 5am and midnight. Any involvement within that window of time is appreciated! Please let us know if you are interested or want more info. Here is my contact information. stephanie.weykamp@audubon.org
