The Byrd Center is working with 4-H and Sustainable Columbus to host a 3-day workshop for high school students (must have completed 8th grade, may be seniors who just graduated). The first two days will be learning from researchers at Ohio State and practitioners working throughout Central Ohio. This will include speakers, tours, investigations, and simulations. In the third day, students will create an education or action project they could implement in their community. I’ve attached the flier to post/distribute. This program is open to any youth in Franklin and surrounding counties. There is a small fee for parking and a t-shirt, but the rest of the program is covered by the donor and a grant. Please spread this information to interested students and organizations. Questions may be directed to Jason Cervenec (cervenec.1@osu.edu; 614-688-0080).
