Under the direction of the Associate Director of Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Laboratory and School of Natural Resources – Associate Director for Academic Programs and Research, serves as Academic Program Specialist for Ohio Sea Grant College Program and Stone Lab handling all aspects of our college curriculum program; works with the School of Environment and Natural Resources (SENR) and other university departments to align the Stone Laboratory curriculum with the school and student needs, including degree requirements and General Education Credits; works with SENR and Ohio Sea Grant to assist with active recruitment of students as needed (e.g., class talks, OSU recruitment events); leads Stone Lab registration and enrollment processes; management and awarding of Stone Lab scholarships in coordination with SENR offerings; reviews Stone Lab application content and maintains complex internal databases to update website content and track/process enrollment for students and faculty, including Stone Lab scholarship recipients; serves as liaison for program with OSU Bookstore, Library, Registrar, Admissions, Stone Lab instructors of record, and academic departments as well as with non-OSU organizations; cultivates existing partnerships and may forge new partnerships for opportunities related to Stone Laboratory courses and workshops; work with team to identify existing and or create new courses or workshops to offer at Stone Laboratory; works with SENR to assist with advising students with a focus on aquatic and environmental sciences; and performs other duties as assigned.
