Green Lawn Cemetery is seeking a Horticultural Manager to join our growing team. Candidates should have an education and experience in tree care, native landscapes or ecology, as well as experience in herbicide application and team management.
Education: B.S. in a relevant course of study. Candidates with significant experience and relevant certifications will also be considered.
Green Lawn Cemetery is a historic, rural cemetery in Columbus, Ohio that opened in 1849. It is the second largest cemetery in Ohio and has been the city’s premier burying ground since the 1800s. The expansive grounds continue to feature a pre-European mixed oak forest, along with many historic and artistic mausoleums and monuments. The cemetery is a registered arboretum, an Ohio Audubon Important Bird Area, and home to several state champion trees. The cemetery recently completed a 7-year tree canopy restoration project.
