The Department of Building and Zoning Services (BZS) is seeking an Energy Efficient Buildings Management Analyst II to lead implementation of the City of Columbus’ Energy and Water Benchmarking Ordinance (Benchmarking Ordinance).
This role calls for a balance of strong project management and implementation skills as well as strategic thinking and relationship building. Substantial technical expertise in energy efficient commercial and multifamily buildings and ENERGY STAR® Portfolio Manager® benchmarking will be critical to providing building owners with technical support to come into compliance with the Benchmarking Ordinance. The position also requires strong communication skills to cultivate positive working relationships and provide authoritative advice on building energy efficiency policies and programs to city government officials, commercial and multifamily building owners and managers, community-based organizations, private sector business groups, and additional related stakeholders. This role requires strong organizational, technical, and communication skills to support the City and non-City building owners in meeting collective community-wide climate goals as outlined in the Columbus Climate Action Plan.
