Save Ohio Parks was founded by Ohio citizens in 2023 after the Ohio legislature passed a law, with no public notice or opportunity to comment, that mandated fracking of our state parks, wildlife areas, and public lands. We work to educate Ohio citizens about the harms of fracking and engage them in filing public comments on issues related to fracking of state public lands. We also act to hold state agencies and politicians as well as oil and gas companies accountable for their actions. We speak, table, and flyer at community events, have a statewide email list, hold monthly campaign meetings, and maintain an active earned media and social media presence.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Campaigns Manager is a one-year grant-funded position for calendar year 2026. This person will work with the Save Ohio Parks and Save Ohio Parks Education Fund board presidents and steering committee to educate and mobilize Ohioans to take action to counter fracking of public lands.
