NEON, the National Ecological Observatory Network, is a continental-scale observation system for examining ecological change over time -- informing decisions at national and community levels that will impact natural resources management and human well-being for generations to come. Solely funded with $427 million by the National Science Foundation.  Operated by Battelle, at Battelle’s Columbus headquarters and the NEON office in Boulder, Colorado.
