Join us on Friday, August 21st, 2026 from 9:30 A.M - 1:00 P.M for this A Day in the Upland's 2026 Workshop Series Event: Know Your Prairie and Its Invaders located at Gorman Nature Center, 2295 Lexington Avenue, Mansfield, Ohio 44906.

Common species found in grasslands here in Ohio, the good and the bad
Floral species & grass groups/ species ID
Invasive species ID & treatment in the field
Grassland management techniques to manage for these species
This event will be held rain or shine and will include a prairie tour across areas of uneven terrain, so dress appropriately and bring sunscreen/ bug spray. Doors will open at 9 and light refreshments and breakfast snacks will be provided. Space is limited to 30 participants.
