Significant and critical energy and climate policy changes continue to be debated, and sometimes adopted and implemented, at global, United States, Ohio, and local levels, even while our world is on track for another “hottest year on record”  for 2016. While these policy efforts are most critical to diminishing the rise of CO2 and related climate change, we all have the chance to be part of the solution and also save money by implementing energy efficiencies in our homes and offices.  Energy utilities in Ohio and Ohio State University understand the virtues of home energy efficiencies and stand ready to help.

Attend the January 11th Environmental Professionals Network breakfast and hear the “why” from one of OSU’s most distinguished scientists, Lonnie Thompson, and the “how” from community, utility, and university representatives.

Extra! Extra!

Free home energy audits will be given to five lucky attendees living in the service area of event sponsor Columbia Gas of Ohio.

Payment and Registration Information

Pay by credit card:  $15

To pay by cash/check, eRequest or Student Scholarship,  please use the "Register to attend this event" button below

Pay at the door by check/cash:  $10, with checks payable to the Ohio State University

Registrations marked "pay at the door" may be cancelled no later than noon Monday, January 9.   After that, there are no refunds and any registrant failing to cancel by the deadline and who does not attend and pay at the door must mail a check for $10 per the information below within ten days. (This is necessary because the $10 registration does not even fully cover the cost of food, coffee, juice ordered and paid for for each registration; any sponsor funds go towards room rental, recording, printing, etc.) We appreciate your assistance in keeping the EPN breakfasts solvent.

Pay by check by mail: $10 payable to Ohio State University. Mail to:
David Hanselmann
OSU School of Environment and Natural Resources
2021 Coffey Rd. Kottman Hall
Columbus, Ohio 43210
Checks or any cancellations must be received by noon January 9.

Pay by OSU e-Request: $10
OSU faculty/staff may pay for the breakfast registration by submitting an e-request by noon January 9 for $10, with the vendor being David Hanselmann, School of Environment and Natural Resources.

**Important:  SENR EPN is not set up to automatically receive electronic e-requests.  Therefore, after your fiscal office approves your e-request for this event you must send a pdf copy of the approved e-request to Christy McLeod (mcleod.53@osu.edu) by the day of the event.  Only then can EPN complete the transaction and actually obtain payment.  Alternatively you can register as “pay at the door”, and obtain a receipt, and submit for reimbursement to your unit.

Pay by Student Scholarship: $0
We encourage student participation in the monthly breakfasts. OSU graduate and undergraduate students may request a “scholarship” covering the cost of attendance. Scholarships are limited to the first 15 registrants. Please email Christy McLeod (mcleod.53@osu.edu) with any questions.

For further information about these 2nd Tuesdays Breakfasts or the EPN, please contact David Hanselmann at hanselmann.3@osu.edu or 614-247-1908.

Event images/recording disclaimer: Registration and attendance at, or participation in, EPN meetings and other activities constitutes an agreement by the registrant to EPN and the School of Environment and Natural Resources use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image and voice in photographs, videotapes, and electronic reproduction of such events and activities.
