Staying the Same, Yet Totally Different

PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

What does environmental education look like amid a global pandemic?  Well, it is the same, yet totally different.  As organizations, facilitators, and educators we all had to pivot and shift how we engage students and guests in our schools and nature centers.  This shift has been profound, yet opportunities for innovation have been ever present as we upend how we plan, deliver, and engage others in outdoor learning.

In this webinar, educators will learn about the preservation of an environmental and experiential ethos by Nuhop (nuhop.org), a residential outdoor education program, who had to pivot from face-to-face engagement, to a new and truly distanced learning community. In the spirit of this ever-changing landscape, be prepared to be active participants in the webinar as you experience the tools and methods for initiating a shift in delivery, while maintaining the core principles for environmentally engaged teaching and learning.
