Getting Started

 

Join the Network - Register

To get started on the Environmental Professionals Network website, first complete the user account Registration Form (from the homepage click "Create New Account"). When your account has been approved you will receive an email with a password and one-time login link. Once you login, you can create your profile and begin to connect with other environmental professionals.
 

Create and Manage Your Profile

  • You are encouraged to create a full profile so other EPN participants are aware of your interest and skills. There are sections for About Me, Expertise, Interests and your photo.
  • Join Topic Areas - You can select topic areas to join when you complete the registration form or by editing your profile. By joining topic areas you will stay informed of events, job opportunities, discussion and resources in the topic areas you join. You may join and leave topics areas anytime - simply select "Edit Profile" and manage your subscriptions by selecting the notifications tab on your profile.
  • Consider volunteering to ocassionally visit with middle and high school students through the Environmental Career Ambassador (ECA) program.
 

Connecting with other Environmental Professionals Online

Members of the Environmental Professionals Network (EPN) have access to view and post events, job opportunities and notices on the EPN website.

Post an upcoming event related to environmental topics

Log onto the EPN website
On the homepage, click Post to EPN
 
 
Select Post an Event
 

 
Complete the event listing fields with information on the event you wish to post, typically including a link to a registration page
Be sure to identify which topic areas you'd like your event to be listed in (at least one topic area must be selected)
Preview your event entry, edit if needed
Click save and your event will be posted and participants will receive an email notice per their "notifications" settings.
 
 

Post a Job opportunity with your organization

Log onto the EPN website
On the homepage, click Post to EPN
 

 
Select Post a Job Listing
 
 
Complete the job listing fields with information on the job you wish to post, typically including a link to the position posting
Be sure to identify which topic areas you'd like your job to be listed in (at least one topic area must be selected)
Preview your event entry, edit if needed
Click save
Preview posting; Save job posting and it will be posted and participants will receive an email notice per their "notifications" settings.
 

Post a Notice on timely environmental topics

Create a Notice that is aimed to grab on-line viewer’s attention. A Notice could pertain to initiation of new programs, grant or scholarship announcements, award nomination solicitations, draft rule and law review/comment opportunities, seeking of volunteers other than for events, etc.
 
Log onto the EPN website
On the homepage, click Post to EPN
 

 
Select Post a Notice
 
 
Complete the notice fields with information related to your notice. Include links as appropriate.
Be sure to identify which topic areas you'd like your notice to be listed in (at least one topic area must be selected)
Preview your notice entry, edit if needed
Click save
Preview posting; Save notice posting and it will be posted and participants will receive an email notice per their "notifications" settings.
 

View and Access Resources 

Members have access to 6 topic areas that include links to useful resources. Access useful NGO, agency, organization, and other environment and natural resources related websites. Know of an important resource that is missing? Let us know!
 
 

Network and collaborate with fellow participants

Seek out collaborators by searching other participants' expertise and interests.

See member profiles; seek collaborators; interact at EPN events.


Register for the monthly EPN breakfast and EPN signature events

EPN events are regularly posted with links to registration.
